Can anyone please tell me the correct dimensions for a 1980s Townshend Elite Rock belt? It has a round section belt of ~2mm diameter. It's in the region of 500mm cirumference, but I have no idea how much the belt I have has stretched, just that it seriously needs replacing.

The deck looks pretty much identical to this one, with the motor in the back left corner. Dual brass pulley for speed change.

Many thanks,

Dr. Matt...

I don't know the dimensions but I have the same TT, well I did before I modified it, & I bought a new one from the same guy that greybeard linked to, & it works perfectly.

After a lot of trial an error with generic o-rings I've found that the Elite Rock's belt should be exactly 6.5" / 6 1/2" diameter. However, IMO this is slightly too tight on the 45 RPM pulley (excessive side-thrust on motor and platter bearings), and for extended sessions listening to 45's I'd be inclined to use a dedicated, slightly longer belt of 6.6" /  6 5/8".
