Wee trip to the whisky shop today, and bought a bottle of Tomatin Cask Strength. Not tried anything from them before, so looking forward to cracking this one open tonight. Was determined to buy something I hadn't had previously.

Very minor amongst what has been mentioned here but bought a bottle of Bains single grain from South Africa and it is a lovely easy drinking whisky .In my view heard to a bourbon taste than a Scottish malt but enjoyable all the same .

Be ready for an attack on your taste buds etc …Laggavullin 16 is a heavily peated malt that some have a love /hate approach to in a similar way to Laphroig
