Tungsol 7581A opinions and 7581A in audio innovations 500

Currently using el34 in my ai 500.
It runs in pentode or triode.

Fancy a change.

Is the 7581A a suitable replacement?
Anyone used the in ai 500?

Any experience of the tungsol in particular in or not in an ai 500?

I used 5881 in my AI500 and preferred them to el34, better sound and definitely more robust

IIRC on my leben cs600 ( of many years ago) which could support both it required a change of setting to switch between the 6l6 and el34 family of tubes. The Jan Philips 7581A I used was a fantastic tube but is not strictly a drop in replacement for the el34.

However as seen in the above thread it has been used.

Still a bit unsure about the 7581a in an audio innovations 500.

For the record, i've been advised that it is not reccomended.
