The silicon damping, (bottle included), gives a tight, deep base. Arm board may be for Rega. I ran an SME on it on a home made board which is now on my other Rock. Fantastic turntable. I’ve had mine for 25 years - bombproof. The damping trough ensures accurate tracking and easy cartridge / arm matching.
