I would love to go back to 1979 and the Grugehalle in Essen where I saw AC/DC play when they were doing the 'Highway to Hell' tour. Apart from being brilliant, little did we know that the lead singer Bon Scott was to die to soon after. I still reckon 'Highway to Hell' was their best album.

The trouble is, once you reach a certain age, people start posting in threads like this and saying how they'd like to go back to the sort of 'dark ages' and then you realise you were actually at a lot of the gigs. That's frightening. It's the same as going to museums today and visiting the 'technology' displays, where your children roll their eyes when you keep saying 'Jesus, I had one of those' to just about every damned exhibit.
It’s hard posting a reply on a ZX81

This time machine is great. I’m off to see The Equals in concert with Mr Eddy Grant playing “Black Skinned Blue Eyed Boys”.

I'm torn between two . The Beatles were no fan of touring by 66 and though I love Floyd there is enough live stuff of them to feel maybe I haven't missed out . So its brings me to American artists . I'm going to pick Hendrix when really pushed but would have loved to have seen the Doors in their pomp

Yeah, but would you really pass on the opportunity to see the original filming of Live at Pompeii? And I don't mean the Gilmour one, I mean the original original...

I think what's leading me is the fact the Rog and Dave are still here but Jimi and Jim aren't . I was once asked Cole or Sinatra and said Cole of course and the bloke looked at me like I had two heads . Sorry but Nat really was the King of the crooners and lest not forget Terence Parsons our own Matt Monro . Right off on a tangent here .

Of a gig I've been to it must be Bauhaus at the Hammersmith Palais in 1983 . They came on at 11 pm so the last train home wasn't an option . The atmosphere was off the chart . Me and my mate both knew we were 17 and underage in London couldn't give a sh*t . Pete Murphy was a great frontman . Got home by hook and crook at 3am . Dad bollocked me bit also with a wry smile . I miss him .

Too difficult to pick one, so after a bit of reflection, although my first choice would have been the Beatles playing Get Back, it wasn’t a “proper” concert. I remember they were playing locally in the 60’s, but as my brother and I were too young we ended up going to a Pantomime instead. “Oh yes we did!” But that is all “Behind me” now. I did see McCartney live a few years ago, and would rate it amongst my top five most enjoyable concerts.

I considered Pink FLoyd, Genesis, Crosby-Stills-Nash-Young (together) although I’ve seen them separately. Woodstock would have been nice without the queues. A school chum actually went to the Isle of White concert 🙄.

This brings me to my final choice. It is someone I was privileged to catch live in 2014. However, although this is also in my top five concerts, it’s not the one I’d go back in time for. It’s this one I missed 🥰.

I’m currently listening to Kate Bush’s Aerial, and generally scrolling through Facebook. This one came up from no other than Jimmy Page!.
The coincidence, or secret algorithms just blew my mind!🤯

This documentary - The Social Dilema is fascinating & will go some way to explain...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Social_Dilemma

If you don't use a VPN or blocker, everyone in the secret bunkers knows your business.

Even my Sat Nav interrupts conversations and states "i'm listening."
😆

Freaky stuff. The documentary was watched on Netflix, I can't say if it's still available as I'm no longer a subscriber.

I’ve traveled back in time to resurrect this interesting thread. This poster has just been put up on facebook, so I thought I’d include it to prove I wasn’t imagining it.😁

Mrs Eddie was at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, she was only 13 and got grounded for a month after (said she was at her friends house in Portsmouth for the weekend :)
I've got the DVD but have not been able to pick her out lol.
My pick would be The Mothers at Pauley Pavilion UCLA with the LA. Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta on the May 15, 1970.
