If we had a Time Machine we can only use it to see a concert or buy a particular album what would you choose
not for profit just for pleasure

Having seen Led Zeppelin, just after the release of LZ2, I’d have to agree with your choice. I would pick The Beatles roof top concert of Get Back, etc.

For me it would have to be the original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green don't really care where but deffo in the sixties and performing all the original stuff from the first greatest hits.....

Great choice I wish I had seen Danny Kirwan & Peter Green at their brilliant best. There are lots of sixties bands I’d have loved to have seen such as Fairport Convention with Sandy Denny.

I did get to see The Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett at the helm. They were wonderful. Saw them again at Knebworth, but thought they’d lost the magic.

My initial thought is that I'd go back to Knebworth 1975 again, to see and hear Pink Floyd play Echoes once more. But when I was there the first time, it was as a teenager, with a head full of insanity, lungs full of illicit smoke and a belly full of cheap wine. It might sound the same, but I wouldn't feel the same. It would be marred by too much pathos about 'what was'.

So, I'll instead pick something that I didn't experience, and an artist that I never got to see live. Another open-air one, and Hendrix at the Isle of Wight please.

I'd probably put a fair few miles on this Time Machine, so many great moments in musical history and so many artists I'd want to see, but....

If it was one, it would have to be Black Sabbath -1974 California Jam.

Or Tool, Reading Festival 1993, watching MJK sing Sober Live, the man looks possessed! Btw, a Libran can never commit to choosing just one!

The trouble is, once you reach a certain age, people start posting in threads like this and saying how they'd like to go back to the sort of 'dark ages' and then you realise you were actually at a lot of the gigs. That's frightening. It's the same as going to museums today and visiting the 'technology' displays, where your children roll their eyes when you keep saying 'Jesus, I had one of those' to just about every damned exhibit.
