An e type would make a beautiful money pit.

I like old jags, always wanted one of these..

I've always loved the XJC since seeing John Steed drive one in the New Avengers. Gorgeous lines and so much prettier than the XJS as driven by the long suffering Mike Gambit.
I had a Corgi model in red and painted it black to match John Steeds vehicle. It was only decades later when I rewatched it in colour that I realised his car was British Racing Green!

I’m disappointed that we’ve got to page 5 with no one yet posting the correct answer to the question of the best looking car ever made which is, of course, the Jensen Interceptor (best car name ever, too!)

As to the E-type, sorry I don’t get it. I think it’s an ugly looking thing.

Brave man about the E-type, always thought that myself. Also thought the same about the Ducati 916, even told a Ducati UK sales manager by accident, because I didn't know who he was. Well he did ask!

Wasn't it made by Reliant?

I've always had a soft spot for the quirky Heinkel/Trojan bubblecars - had a couple of them in my student days:

This reminds me of a tiny car I used to see on the streets of West Germany when I lived there in the 70’s. My mate and I said when we could afford one, we’d both buy one each. Sadly it never happened, as at the time, neither of us had a driving licence. I should have bought one anyway, as it was possibly small enough to fit in a large suitcase.

The Goggomobil Dart was based on the chassis and mechanical components of the German Goggomobil microcar, which was a product of Hans Glas GmbH of Dingolfing, in Bavaria, Germany.[6] The car featured an Australian-designed fibreglass two-seater open sports car body without doors, the whole package weighing in at only 345 kg (761 lb).[2] It was powered by a rear-mounted twin-cylinder two-stroke motor available in both 300 cc and 400 cc variants,[4] and had a small luggage compartment built into the nose.[2] The Dart was designed in 1958 and went on sale the following year,[2] with around 700 examples produced up to the time that production ceased in September 1961.[7]
Edit: The cream coloured one behind is a Goggomobil coupe.😁

Bit of a (niche) aussie icon this one. The brand was given great publicity in the 90s via an ad for yellow pages and later a well known classic car insurer.

Goggomobil Dart, your invoking some serious Oz voodoo there......

But streets ahead of the Oz Zeta Lightburn, half concrete mixer / half Bond micro light- a major contender for the Ugly stakes and WTF were they thinking award :p

The Prettiest Classic Car thread has taken a disturbing new direction!
Though cars like the Trabant and other communist era cars do have a dedicated following.
There's nowt a weird as folk!
