Lol, I've had many 'winner' speakers wise over the years...it's the numpty opposite them that is the loser!

It really depends on the genre anyway, I list to mostly jazz and folks so don't require earth shaking bass myself.

If you do decide to add more bass have a read about magnepan's new multi driver, dipole bass, DSP controlled bass system. A very interesting new approach, and designed to go against a wall so extremely low profile.

Excellent write up and good decision Karlsushi in my opinion, I have been eyeing up the Jordan drive units for over a year now and am saving up to possibly buy full range units and get the cabinets done by Wilmslow Audio.

If I go with the Jordans I will also be getting two drive units per speaker, not 100% sure which drivers to choose as I am still looking into that, but the Jordans are certainly on the shortlist.

Happy Listening

I've just come across this thread. I'm a fan of the Jordan Eikona drivers (used in both their Greenwich and Marlow speakers) and currently have a pair of homebuilt Reflex 7's.

If you are into DIY Jordan have published a number of designs on their website.

Finally, there is a thread on Lenco Heaven about Jordan speakers https://www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=27554.0

I was looking at a bookshelf design consisting of two drivers in each cabinet in a bass reflex design, but my the damage in my ears are getting worse, so I have to abandon my project. I still have a nearly new pair of Jordan Eikonas if you are interested.

Another very happy Eikona user here. Mine are in Transmission line style cabinets with reinforced concrete baffles designed by Jon Espley. I second all your comments great imaging full range speakers with plenty of clean bass.

Is that what you did, or had you auditioned them before you ordered?
That is what I did, but I had an inkling they were my kind of speaker after hearing them at the NW Audio Show.

As a first port of call, you would be welcome to come and have a listen to them here at some point. I see you're in Stamford so really not that far from me.

So it looks like an East Midlands Eikona user meet is shaping up. I'm in Bottesford so close to Stamford. Any chance I can join the party?
