SORTED! - 2 Many DJ's - As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt.2 - Hidden track @ - 4.15mins

Hi,
So I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but this album contains a hidden track and....



despite EAC picking up on this, the track listing is in red and not able to be added! I also tried ripping the CD using Foobar 2000 but again no way of getting to the hidden track.

According to Discogs it's a Kylie mix at - 4.15 mins with the rest of the 10 minutes just blank. I never knew this when I played it with a CD player and sadly mine has now got an issue and isn't in my system presently.

So I'm asking if anyone has been able to rip the hidden track? Probably not but I thought it worth asking...

I have both Foobar 2000 & EAC. EAC recognises there is a hidden file in red as per link from hydrogen audio above. Foobar doesn't see it. I'm yet to delve deep in to the advice given. It seems I need to set up copy range in EAC.

Yes, that was going to be my suggestion.

It can't hurt I suppose. I did have a licence once upon a time but not sure I still have it / still valid?

I see they offer 21 day trial. Will see if copy range sorts it first. Probably won't be worth it anyways, track is 10 minutes in total but the remix of Kylie happens at minus 4.15. Thats a lot of silence to endure!

Unless I can cut that out, maybe?

I suppose you can cut the 4 minutes of silence using Audacity.

It's getting complicated, I tell you. It's the only Kylie Minogue song I like, especially interested to hear Soulwax's remix of it!

2. Select the first track (you know, the red one).
3. Action menu, Copy Selected Tracks Index-Based.

I bloody love this forum...

Ran the CD back through EAC, using the above. EAC found a sync error of 2 seconds right at the end of the track but as that appears to be silence it appears okay. As I don't have a working CD player, I'll never know if it does or not.

Re-tagged the album with the hidden track indexed as 00. It works. Now the actual music track is only 4.12 long but it has a run time of 10 mins.

So I downloaded Audacity and cut out all but 33 seconds of silence. I felt this still gave the run up to the Kylie song without the long wait and yes... I am that impatient!

Loaded up to the NAS and listening now. Linn DS doesn't recognise 00 as a track index so it sits at the front of the queue with no index; how it should look anyways and all is good!

I have this on original white label CD, was given to me as a gift from a DJ mate. Was it the Kylie slice up 'can't get myself to think about boys?'

If so on my version it's simply the last track, or is it something else?

No, it was a hidden track @ minus 10mins at the beginning of the CD. It's an Elektronik Soulwax Remix of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" the CD with the new whitewashed cover due to copyright issues.

I've sorted it now, thanks to much help from this forum.

I've only got the one Kyle track on my version, after the track where the woman reads out the 'pause button' etc. I'll have to dig it out....
