Question Repair AR18 speakers

Hi, I have my fathers pair of AR18's which I have been meaning to have repaired for some time (foam driver surrounds and a loose speaker terminal on one).

I know I can buy a foam kit off eBay but wondering if anyone knows a good tech who could repair them (I'm in Sussex) ?

I nearly sent my AR6s to Wilmslow Audio in Leicestershire, but decided to have a go myself, successfully I'm happy to say. Might be worth giving them a call.

I was hoping to find somewhere localish enough to drop off and pick up in person. I guess I could try myself first and if I stuff it up then seek help! I expect the loose speaker connection is just a case of tightening a nut on the inside.

Yes. Mine have that issue too. I can't be bothered to sort it so when I connect them I just use long nose pliers to hold one nut while I tighten the other.

I’d Have a go yourself. The cost of a third party repairer would not really be worth it. There’s a ton of videos online to help you through

I agree. I'm a cack handed buffoon but managed to refoam and recap my AR6s.
