Hi, I have been a member of the WAM for several years now and thought I'd join in here since I now have an LP12.
I bought an incomplete 70s LP12 as a project about 2 years ago, it has the black springs mod and that is about it, it had no tonearm and a butchered arm board.
over time I have managed to purchase a blank arm board (I wasn't sure what arm yet), a refurbished Valhalla and finally a couple of Hadcock GH228 arms.
I have a Shure V15 type III to fit.
Well it is all in one piece with a spare arm, I do have a slight hum problem but there is a Linn trained tech within 30 mins drive from home.
I always wanted to try an LP12 since the 80s when I bought my Rock II.
Cheers
Steve
