Hi all, met a member on here today and decided to join up.
I've been on a few hifi forums in the past, but not for a long time.
This seemed like the most appropriate place to introduce myself.
I'm Graeme, and I'm in chesterfield uk.
My system currently consists of...
Lenco l70 with audio technics at1005 and garrott brothers decca gold microscanner.
Technics sl150 in lightweight plinth with diy linear air bearing tonearm. Diy retipped denon dl103. Denon SUT
Diy clone of world designs Phono stage.
Diy passive pre with silver stepped attenuator and mercury wetted relay switching.
World designs el84 amp with modified and beefed up power supply and leak output transformers
Tannoy 10" hpds in diy rear horn cabinets.
I have a technics slp1200 cd player but it's currently under the bed as i only use cd in the car!
Alot of it looks a little shabby, apart from the speakers, as once something sounds good I tend to loose motivation to make it look nice. The system was always in a permanent state of flux too, so spending time and money on nice casework seemed pointless untill i knew for sure a piece of equipment was permenant!
