I do not think it can get much better than this. Talcum on belt, Japan NOS belt , platter mid groove, chassis just touching felt pads lightly optimised leveling for minimum wow.optimized tension , +luck.

For reference I give you this Technics SL-1000R with DS ES-001 Eccentricity correcter. Download the NAK T-100 app and play video on one source , andto the App on PC ( does not work well if you loop PC headphone til PC mic) My Gyro result is better, but the reason is likely different test record quality.

nice bit of expensive kit , cost here is £5.500 . you would need a lot of turntables to check

The ES-001 was not may main point. It cost 10 more than I am willing to pay. I was just bragging about what my Gyro can do

RCA to 3.5mm cable Connect from RIAA or preamp to PC mic input and this app can be useful. The problem is to get A good test record and center it accurately.
http://www.anaxwaves.com/NAKT100/

From your picture: is it correct the the selection push in was 3-wow- din= DIN Wow and reading 0.17% . .? That is under the «threshold» at 0.2%

the din was sat at 3% so you use the bottom scale, .002

That is under the «threshold» at 0.2% yes we manged to get it well down below that , but this was set on wow only with one set at 3% and a wow and flutter read the bottom scale to get the result , the drift was just for tape heads,

You need to read off the 3% scale so the last picture is close to 0.1%. ..?
I would try the 0.3% scale

Which test record are you using?

Here is a snapshot on DIN WF ( weighted peak)

The originally Michell sourced their belts from a producer in Japan, since that supplier stopped making the belts Michell had to look elsewhere . NOS is unused old belts . New Old Stock. My belt is a leftover Michell belt from the Japan producer,

Looking for suggestions/help please.

Orbe has been running fine for some time then the other weekend I was showing the wife the differences between the 3 decks I have with the same record/tracks.

First 2 decks went well (Lenco GL75 & SP10) then moved on to the Orbe - straight away you could tell it was running fast to just used the 2 other decks.

Managed to get some time today to have a look and it is running at around 34.29 (+2.8%) - this is the AC version of the QC and motor.

Checked the voltages on J3 & J4 and as near as dammit at 19.5 volts which is the recommendation (when the speed selector is set to 45RPM (runs at over 46), J3 & J4 are more or less as close to 21 volts as you can get.

After much mucking around (setting the volts, higher lower etc managed to get 33.3 with them set as close to 19.5 as you can so all good.

Put everything back and the deck is running back at 34.3 again so cover off the PSU and both J3/J4 are still reading at 19.5 volts

The only other thing that has changed was around 6 months ago where I changed the belt for a "Michell" belt but the quality is average at best (the other belt was well and truly past its sell-by date !!

Any ideas what next (could the belt be causing this?

Changed J4 to 10 volts and left J3 at 19.5 and running at 33.3.
All right to leave it at this?

Looks like i need new o rings☹️ IMG_5315.jpeg
How long have that set been in service?

I checked mine, and was surprised to see that I had installed them in March of 2019. It doesn't seem like it's been that long already. Mine are still looking good, but I have a spare set ready for when it's time.

Hope that you get yours sorted out quickly!

i changed the spec in 2019 , as we found out that NBR does not like UV light , these have been sorted by Truepoint who asked for them back to replace the oring free of charge and fit them , i will send IDS a spare set if he contacts me, on here , for free, pete
