I'll have to bring them with their stands, I think; bluetac sticks well.

Big thanks, as always, to John for opening the doors to his home again for this excellent day. It was great to see so many local and not-so-local Wammers again, great fun, great conversation, great music and great sounds. The changes in both the main system and the "playroom" over the course of the day was significant, everything from £20 speakers to countless-thousand pound amps and all in between!

Hope everyone got home safely, look forward to catching up again some time in the new year, I guess! Oh, and a side thanks to Jack for the Wam taxi services and for making me spend even more money on LPs . Thanks also to Robin for the loan of the SACDs and the remote control. What a brilliant family we have all created

Thanks everybody for another great day even though I was swearing like a trooper first thing, wondering why I put myself through this house dis-assembly 4 times a year.
Anyway thanks to Brendan (Jailbreaker) I may have found my next speakers that he brought in after everyone had left. A pair of Snell J mk2 which he's leaving with me to confirm they are for me. They certainly sound way better to my ears than the AN-Es in the system, smooth detailed with good bass and a nice underlying tonality even though they were just plonked down for an initial listen.

Another terrific day at John's with friends old & new, & he deserves plaudits for continuing to host these get togethers. Some really great sounds from both rooms with a plethora of kit, some with huge price tags & others being more modest, & I can't say I heard anything less than excellent.
