Almost done with my Krell KSA-250 amp. It's been going through resto for the past couple months. I already spent over $1000 in parts and just have the right channel board to finish.  Not sure what I'll do with it but it will probably go up for sale when finished with the parts replacement and testing on the AP Portable One Access. Just waiting on the Input and output relays so I can install them. It will have all new Emitter resistors, a rebuilt Slow Start board, new outputs and drivers, new HUGE caps for the power supply,  a fresh recap among other parts. Can't figure out how to add a pic from the computer or I'd post a couple.

It's a bear to work on. At 140 LBS, I had to disassemble it on the bench, and start reassembly back on the bench where it will stay until it's finished and tested.

Owned a few Krell KSA, FPB and KAS-2. Currently own a pair of KAS-2 mono amps (one still being serviced :x ) a KPS25S CDP/Pre and a KRC3 preamp. Once you have lived with their control and bass power and extension, it's difficult to live with other amps.

IMHO they don't suit smaller speakers, but large full range monitors or ribbon speakers. I was using them with B&W 801F, but as I have sold them, I guess JBLs will do.

If you have heard a KAV Krell, you really need to listen to the pre-powers.

Krell's owned in the past/present;

KSA50

KSA100

KSA200b

KSA250

FPB600

KRC2

KRC3

KPS25S

KPS20iL

KAS-2
I had the opportunity to purchase a pair of KAS-2's to replace my FPB600....I stupidly passed (long story). Regretted it for an awful long time.

There are people from all over the world on this site including North America. More than once I have entertained visitors from the UK I met on this site at my place in Washington. One has become a very close friend. On the KEF forum I have offered hospitality to anyone who wants to hear the KEF Blade Meta Ones in a home environment.

Another friend I met from the closed down Linn forum, now posts in Hifi Wigwam. He lives in Vancouver and travels around the world at his own cost to listen to and fine tune high end equipment. He does this without charge just for the love of the hobby.

Anyone who wishes to visit is welcome - even you. I can be reached at 202-999-5563 or email johnhirsch52@gmail.com. Right now I am running Michi M8 monoblocks and a Michi P5 Series Two. They are not for sale.

Yes I buy and sell equipment. I have done so since 1984 and make no apologies.

Also I think that there are many on this site who would find current Krell products to be absolutely impossible to obtain given the inevitable (obscene?) UK importer markup. The deals I have offered - 60% off US prices for current equipment - might allow someone to have the system of their dreams who otherwise would be on the outside looking in.

Older Krell equipment can be risky and costly to repair. The FPB 600 I have on offer has had 210 capacitors replaced. Which is the difference between a dream and a nightmare.

I would guess that the reason for the Krell club is to enhance enjoyment of Krell equipment. I offer a path to do just that.

Your list of for sale items has been removed .
John you need to declare as a trader and pay trader fees , then you may advertise your goods in the Trade Classifieds (y)

If trading for profit, as business, then yes. As has always been the case. Some folk try to get past this and ignore the forum rules, which is not fair to those who do trade and support the forum by paying the appropriate and very fair fees, which go towards forum running costs.
