If you were going to go deaf or kick the bucket, what are the last two recordings you would listen to.

Great suggestions already, but if about to suffer a mortality shortfall:

(don't fear) The Reaper. Blue Oyster Cult
Always look on the bright side of life. Monty Python

deafness would be worse, so

I will Survive by the Village People,
After that, I wouldn't miss music at all😄

Edit. Sorry TIU, I missed reading page 2 before posting.

Oh sniff, bit emotional way to start the day. Last tunes on my passing, I don't think I would want any, just a few family members, but some Gymnopedies appropriately wistful.
Going deaf, I would like to re-have a similar but better experience of a choral version of Barbers Adagio that I had visiting my friend who lived in Amsterdam (perhaps with a little of that mind expanding......), or that time I heard a choral piece by Arvo Part, about 1990 before he was famous, performed in St Andrews church in Plymouth, otherworldly.

Paco Fernandez, where do we go now....

If it was kick the bucket
Led Zep - Stairway to heaven
AC/DC - Highway to hell

At least one would be the right choice.

Interesting thread. I already knew the music that I would want played at my funeral Mick Karn Weather the Windmill and it’s perfect to see me off in every way.

If I was going to go deaf well that doesn’t provoke an obvious answer but the song that I keep thinking about is King Crimson’s Red but it has to be the live in Argentina 1994 version (Red starts at 18:13)

Told my daughter, the first time someone has to wipe my bum I will be atop beachy head with a huge spliff and bottle of whisky , sat in the car with my favourite tracks on , my foot will just slip off the brake ..
Her answer “where’s beachy head”
the brains of youth and the price of fish..........................

To go deaf to - Yo Mama from Sheik Yerbouti, Frank Zappa.

Pre - clog popping - Spem In Allium, Thomas Tallis.

Mates of mine who left too early and chose their own Funeral songs included "Everyone says Hi" David Bowie, "Thank you for the day" by The Kinks, "Three Little Birds" - Bob Marley, and "November Rain" - G'n'R.
A woman I worked with had a big row when her brother died, as his missus wanted to play Kings of Leon "Sex on Fire" at his cremation......
