Looks great, but why dehydration rather than roast or actifry?

.sjb
It Basically works as a slow cooker (60c) as the meat molecules breakdown all the goodness is kept within the joint . so 6 hours doing that (works out roughly to be 12p ) then 2 mins air fry at 210c flip then another 2 mins at 210c .

the air fryer tray should be almost dry after cooking (no foil needed)

Your roast potatoes always look great, what do you do with them. I just do them in oil on actifry setting get complaints they are too dry.

Do these cook fresh cut chips properly or do they have to be those half-cooked frozen ones?

Yes. I can confirm this. Just ate some and they were delicious and crispy. Mmmm.

Crispy belly pork too and some runny eggs on top. Winner.

We've only had ours a week and have so far only used the oven once since to cook a pizza. What a great invention the air fryer is.

How do you do them? Just straight in and cook, or some other steps? I don't much like the frozen chips. Some are okay, but most are cardboard-like on the outside. If they are a simple affair I'd like to try this because I stopped eating chips due to the need to fry or oven bake. The pan of oil is a nuisance.

Not sure how long as the Mrs cooked this meal. However, cut them, light coating of oil and go. That was it.

Absolutely ! cut them then give them a light spray with a high smoke oil ( vegetable/ rapeseed)
bang them in at 200c -10 - 15 mins (shake halfway through)

I've not tried it yet but people say save the peelings and Air fry them ! supposed to be amazing with salt and vinegar
