Which of those are power cables though? If you want an improvement, buy better recordings.
Says the man (like Danny) with a mixture of cables from Duelund, Audio Note, Kondo, Neotech, Supra, etc.

Kondo, Supra and Audio Note. I also have some Lapp screened ones.Which of those are power cables though?
I'm not sure it's the earthing/ampage that makes a difference to the fancy cables.it is at times like this I am so pleased my mains lead for the amp is hard wired (no plugs to contend with except the 5 amp mains plug). It has been upgraded since I got it as it originally came with a two core cable - now I put a three core cable with earth to the amp chassis. I did splash the cast though on the cable and purchased 15amp multiwires (not solid core) 3 core cable rather than the 5amp.
Did it make a difference? None that I could tell.

My issue is the logic that a 15A basic cable doesn't sound better than a 5A basic cable, therefore fancy mains cables are a waste of money.15A cable and a 5A plug?
Isn’t that a bit like trying to increase the flush volume on your toilet by increasing the pipe size between the cistern and bowl to drainpipe, but leaving the holes at each end the same size?
They blow me away...You forgot your synergistic research fuses!
Actually, put in a dedicated radial. Far better than a ring.If you want an improvement put in a dedicated mains ring.
Ah but are Schiit mains cables the basic ones or the fancy ones?Unfortunately, there is no mains cable in the range - being able to say with a straight face that you use Schiit mains cables would be great
They don't come on a velvet cushion sprinkled with fairy dust?.Shocking. I feel your painI currently use Belden power cables that are very basic.
Yarbo. Nothing like the basic Belden, in construction. They don't come on a velvet cushion sprinkled with fairy dust?.Shocking. I feel your pain
However, I suspect (alright, I know) that the off the reel belden, mogwami and many cheaper cables are what lurk under the bling jackets of many so called 'specialist' cables. Self appointed boutique cable assemblers do not have the funds to tool and manufacture their own unique core cables.
If a cable thread is started, then this is what you get. There was no intention to cause mayhem or arguements !
Just sharing my findings, as an old skeptic .
I didn't want to hear a difference , but did .
The cable that was introduced was an Atlas EOS ( 4DD perhaps.)
Going out on my motorbike now .
Trying some new tyres....do they make a diffence?
Yes
An excellent write-up of their Pyst range is on their site here:I'm amused to note that Schiit have their own in-house range of Pyst (Put your Schiit Together) interconnects, interestingly at non-foo prices. Tempting to buy some just for the bragging rights. Unfortunately, there is no mains cable in the range - being able to say with a straight face that you use Schiit mains cables would be great
