This is a complete VTA SP12 (tubes4hifi) preamp DIY built by me with some minor upgrades. It’s unused apart from 20 hours of testing/burn in. It has 4x JJ ECC802S valves in the line stage and a combined SS and 12×4 voltage rectifier/regulator, Audyn signal capacitors and a pair of custom wound toroidal transformers (one for heater voltage and one for HV). It’s in a dark grey, ventilated steel chassis, with Alps Blue volume pot and Alps selector. All internal cabling is twisted. 6 line inputs, 2 sets of pre-outs and a sub out too. Personally I believe this out performs my old Audio Note preamp, and I have one identical to this in my system now which replaced that AN pre. These retail at $1,100 (£840) plus shipping, VAT and duty from the USA if you buy one complete from the designer – this works out to be approx £1,150 in total. I am asking £750 ono Demo is welcome. This is the same as the preamp that was in my system at Scalford this year.
