Hi I am selling a DIY built Boozhound Jfet RIAA MM phono stage lots of info on the web on this well regarded jfet phono stage this one is a bit unusual as it has been upgraded with an all Teflon capacitor RIAA and output stages using Russian military surplus Teflon capacitors (about £80 worth of Russian Teflon caps) and high quality mil spec VishayDale RN50 series resistors. It sounds great and to my ears is a significant improvement over the stock capacitors that come with the Boozhound phono kit.
I have used it in my second system for around over a year but am scaling down to just one system . I recently owned a Audio lounge LCR phono (£500 new) the LCR phono only lasted two weeks before I sold it and went back to the Boozhound.
There is a link below to the KIT product on the Boozhound website the full kit unassembled costs roughly £150 to land in the UK once import duties and handling charges are added and then this does not include an enclosure or power supply (19v laptop supply) rca left and right channel input and output lugs or ground turret. The parts cost alone for a unassembled standard kit works out around £200 (not including an enclosure)
It is mounted in a diy enclosure which has been made out of Bamboo plywood with a real carbon fibre top the power lead plugs into a small tale lead that exits the back of the phono stage.
Pic for scale shows the Boozhound Jfet RIAA phono alongside the Lounge Audio LCR phono and my Bottlehead Eros Phono
Asking £150 including postage (UK only sale).
Thanks for looking
