Best places to buy vinyl on line

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to vinyl, I'm getting my 1st deck next weekend (technics 1210 with a rega arm)

Can anyone recommend any sites that are really good to buy vinyl from, used and new, I know amazon and ebay but was looking for elsewhere.

Thanks

John

Plus have a look for vinyl fairs locally, charity shops are worth a look, but be prepared for a lot of searching for variable results.

Nice one thanks

Piccadilly Records sell online & prices are generally good. You certainly live close enough for the occasional visit & Vinyl Exchange is just across the road for a s/hand browse.http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/shop/aboutus.php.

I use Diverse Vinyl.... http://www.diversevinyl.com/index.php

or The Vicious Squirrel....http://www.thevicioussquirrel.co.uk/

:^ to both of the above.

For new stuff, I also like Burning Shed and Proper Music, although they're rather more limited in the music genres they stock.

Norman Records is a very good one I've used recently. They have lots of obscure stuff but it's all organised properly into genres and similar artists to help you explore different and new music with ease.

Vinyl Tap in Huddersfield is not far away, opposite the railway station if you don't fancy driving. 42 John William Street is the address

They stock new and loads of 2nd hand, they stock a lot of 7" as well & CDs  even have space for a small stage - free for original music bands (no covers).

Discogs? I've bought plenty of second hand albums via that for very reasonable prices.

You are in Liverpool John. Get yerself into Probe Records pronto. Proper record shop, and cheaper than mail order since Amazon started paying VAT.
