Tidied up ESLs.Often wondered how they would sound now with a decent source but never had the balls to buy a pair and find out.

Upgraded pair of Leak TL12s.

Notingham Audio. Mightbe the one thing to make me part with the LP12 and stop spending hours and £s on it....

Yep, you're right - but the Summit range is the first ML hybrid that I've found convincing.

The full range CLS is/was a great speaker too - but you need new panels every 2-3 years or so ... :?

I'm gonna have to investigate if the same is true for the Summits. Any views on that?

Leben integrated to see if I could get away with less boxes.

Fi amplifiers, to see if they are as warm as fuzzy as I think they are.

Audio note step up to see how much difference a 100:1 ratio would make.

LV OBX RW to see if they are worth the 3 grand upgrade price.

SP10 MkIII

Croft - They're that ugly they must sound good

Harbeth - ditto above

Sugden - Are they worthy of the respect?

Leema - Newish British company that seems to be doing quite well, there must a reason for that.

Benchmark DAC (USB version) - Is it better than my AQVOX or is it just hype

Hypex based amps - Supposed to be good, but are they?

ICEPower based amps - ditto above

Plus electrostatic speakers - Quad 63s I think

......ONE DAY :-)

The later, Chinese Quads are much better IMO - better build, better components, better sound. Make the 63s sound quite lazy. And they'll be coming on to the 2nd hand market sometime soon :)

ime, the panels do last, but humidity and heat reduce the lifespan. if you keep them clean and in a relatively dust free enviroment, they last 10 or so years without degradation.

summits are the best m/l i've heard, superb speaker.

My ML CLS panels lasted just 2 years :cs:- a couple of very humid summers though, and with a multitude of moggies my house is not exactly a dust-free zone. Iwas so cheesed off with that,I went and got a different speaker!
