Well if it means that at least there will be support parts for old models all the better for it.

What he said - I need an upward-firing driver for a pair of Howards.

Still very sad that the old firm went down the pan. :(

Looks like the next Castles will be wrapped in seven layers of piano gloss.:D

Always suspected it was Quad's first line of lacquered 'L' loudspeakers that helped put the nail in Castle's casket.

They already own

  • Audiolab
  • Mission
  • Quad
  • Wharfedale

The two brothers (IAG) are a funny pair would not be wise to put my views on the forum :)that said all the other companies they have took over have had good customer service and back up put in place and I think more than once its better than what was there to start with.

The only company in the list they took over, they could not better the customer service was Quad

I've never been really that impressed with the current IAG products. Made the mistake of Audiolab pre/monos, tried to convince myself there was something there. There wasn't, except for lots of power.

Currently running Quad 11ls in my uni system, they're ok i guess.

It seems to me that IAG could be turning out some truly special products with their collective might and the heritage that they own through their acquisitions but choose to pander to the masses with reasonable value, spectacularly un-spectacular products which always seem to get decent reviews in magazines with lots of IAG advertising....
