http://www.musicnonstop.co.uk - for £12

I usually order from http://www.infrarot.de in Germany, but not really worth it for 1 Cd

If you like Raison D'etre (Peter Andersson) check out his other side projects:

No. I have tried searching amazon etc to see if any sites allow you to listen to snippets of the songs, but can't find anything anywhere....

Going to a bit more research and may take the plunge...

Go to Archive -> Sounds then Raison D'etre

There are 4 Mp3 to download (need to click on the triangle)

There from later albums, but at least it will give you an idea if you want to buy or not.

Downloaded all 4 mp3's and was a little uninspired by Disintegrates.

Really liked Shadow, quite dark, ominous and foreboding.

The Slow Ascent reminds me of a Banco de Gaia track, which I like very much too.

The Wasteland is pretty good too, though the scrapeing metal sound, sounds like a rusty gate, sets my teeth on edge!

It sounds like the albums detail a journey and just hearing tracks in isolation won't really do them justice, like Lifeforms by FSOL. I may get ‘Within the Depths of Silence and Phormations’, judging on what I have heard, but I will need to be in the mood for it, as with all amibent music. Like when the girlfriend is away and I decide to have a weekend of smoking and listening to music :)

Would be a bit scary to fall asleep to though!

24 Years of Hunger

Its their only album and is positively brilliant IMHO.

Ulrich Schnauss - A strangley isolated place. Nice chilled out down tempo stuff

Herbert - everything he has done most notably Bodily Functions and the Big Band album - really interesting mid tempo 4/4 stuff. The Big Band album is just brilliant if you like that sound.

AdamK, have you heard any My Dying Bride? Recommend The Angel and Dark River if you haven't. Gothic/Darkwave with an electric violin :)

John, I've never been convinced by MDB. I've got 'Like Gods of the Sun' and 'Meisterwerk 2' - sure they have their moments but overall I think there's something lacking (A bit 'championship' and not 'premiership' if you get my drift)

Still if I come across 'The angel & the dark river' cheap I'll give it a try (I'll add i to my monster 'search on ebay' list).

Regards
