Anyone has any suggestions what is the nicest valve 6922 for my cd player Shanling CD

Recommended Posts

Just bought this CD player and have been reading you can up the performance if you change the bog standard valves that are supplied (Russian)

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If it's the same as mine (CD-T 1000SE), they don't use 6922s. The standard tube is a Chinese 6N3, which has a 'western' equivalent in the 5670. I don't know if these are interchangeable with 6922/E88CC but somehow I doubt it.

I use a couple of NOS GE 5670s in mine and it made a noticeable difference in refinement. They are also much shorter so you can lose one of the rings round them, makes it look a bit cooler IMO.
