A cracking set up you have there and I think you may now be our most far flung British member. Outer Hebridean bake off anyone?

Hi all.

Long time reader here. Went even twice to Wam Show !

Happy to spend some time posting.

Welcome! Like you, I was reading the forum for a fair time before I joined - it’s fun contributing, although I have to be careful on Friday nights to avoid the Saturday morning ‘oh god, did I really post that!’ moment :pint:

i have just responded to your thread on the £1k system but it would be good if you filled out your profile as well, it really helps when trying to make constructive recommendations.

Don’t forget to complete your location details too, the WAM community continues all year with local met ups, Kegworth is just the centrepiece. I’m sure you will find that you have some members close by.

Hi,

New to this forum though not new to Hifi, generally very interested in analogue equipment, especially tonearms & cartridges and of course amplification and speakers.

:)

Howdy Wammers!

Glad to be joining the community and looking forward to picking your brains for some advice along the way or even join in a bake off one day.

I'm shortly going to be making my first half decent analogue front end purchase:

Michell Gyro SE

Audiomods series 6

MC cart undecided

Used Phono Pre undecided.

Existing kit:

Kef LS50 on partington dreadnoughts powered by an Adcom GFA555 II

BK electronics sealed 12" sub

A simple Tisbury Audio passive pre.

I will shortly be posting for some advice based on other users experience! I work as an acoustic engineer for a small engineering consultancy that is most known for designing theatres but we also do small concert halls, recording studios as well as less specialist projects. I'm at home with sound insulation, room acoustics, isolation and designing extremely quiet ventilation systems xD

My first post will be on outstanding Japanese MC carts that I could potentially pick up second hand in Japan on a once in a lifetime trip that I'm clearly very excited about! :)

Cheers,

Nitin
