:^ IIRC My first John Martin album from 1970. Shit, that’s 49 years ago. I’m glad I got to see him before his demise. Sorely missed.

Yes he is missed.   I saw him twice in Worcester in the 90s.  The first time I was unfamiliar with him and was blown away and incredulous. He could play amazingly even when completely pissed. Now I can't imagine listening to music without him.

Your comment reminded me of when I travelled from Staffs, to Telford to see him in 2001. I’ve looked it up, and found this bizarre comment. I don’t know where the “Crap crowd” comment came from. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
