....they seem to be having trouble..  That must be one of the worst dems I’ve ever seen, although admittedly I don’t speak Japanese.    All that talk, faffing about & huge expense to play a record . When they eventually got it going we got....Danny Boy !    I was expecting a magnum opus at the very least.

New deck arrived today and its a looker by all accounts. Audio Linear TD 4001. New drive belt and Audio Origami bearing oil kit order. Also, new (used) SME 3009 currently off to Audio Origami for a Van Den Hul rewire and RCA conversion.... looking forward to getting this set-up!

A lot of the styling cues seem to come from the Transcripters reference, and all the better for it.

I think the late Mr John Michell had a hand in both.  And designed lots more besides!

A nice history here...http://www.michell-engineering.co.uk/history/

I'd say the Audio Innovations 500 is pretty cool looking! Many non Hi Fi enthusiast friends agree! 💡💡💡🔌🔌🔌

SSKL Soundwave, Frank Zappa Limited Edition from LUNO

"Only 10 SSKL, FZ Limited Edition units are being made. Signed, numbered, and dated with a COA." - I wonder how much? :nerves:.

It probably sounds poor, but the retro look appeals Link Here.

I wouldn't class that as a gorgeous gadget - it's a lumbering monster of a turntable

Reading through the instruction manual dictates one will need a duck ( roofing) ladder, good balance with a steady hand to play/replace record on the platter. ( If you can find it.) :geek:

:notworthy:

The suit and sneakers at 7:45 are the perfect match.

Anyone interested in cars would like these. B&W, in 2013, teamed up with Maserati to produce a limited edition of the 805. No idea how many were made but I doubt many were sold. Nevertheless :x

They certainly look the part. Whether that translates into great sound quality is another matter.

8/10 for bling/kudos factor.

Wasn't that the episode where Jon Pertwee upgraded the sound system in the Tardis? :)
