The whole ethos of Jesus dying on the cross is that as a man he was able to break the sin of Adam by taking all our sins at the point of death and thus if we followed him we would enter his kingdom of heaven.

Absolutely. JW's do not believe that Jesus was anything but a perfect man on earth. He had to be equivalent of Adam in order to be the "ransom" for mankind, Gk ἀντίλυτρον, or "corresponding ransom".

The Bible calls human judges "gods" in Psalm 82:6 and this is quoted by Jesus when rebutting the Pharisees claim that Jesus was making himself a god when he said he was the Son of God in John 10:32-36 .

Jesus was fully human but perfect as Adam was in order to ransom us from sin.

Perhaps, Julian, you have misunderstood the Witnesses' beliefs.
