Readers wives, that must be 30 to 40 years ago. Having said that I still have one particular image imprinted on my brain, even after all those years. I must have been at an impressionable age.

40yrs ..

OMG where has the time gone

Kindest regards Julian

I have a JVC Victor QL Y3F in the loft, a quite advanced TT in its day, still sounds decent, but I have no lid for it :(

Could it be because Marty Feldman retired?.

My first Proper System was Tandberg 3002 and 3003 Pre and Power Amplifiers- they were finally retired in April- a Marantz CD Player that I can't remember the name of and Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 Standmounts. Hours of fun with that set up. It's evolved quite a bit since 2005 though! 👍 👍 👍 Some really interesting systems mentioned here! 😎😎😎

Best film he made was

The last remake of Beau Geste

I can still see him in the mud with just those eyes staring up

Yes it's a shame it is gathering dust in the loft, along with a Pioneer PL12D, Lenco GL69, and a Denon DP 2500

Now you're just tormenting us...

I'll help you clear out your loft if you like, give you £50 each for the JVC and the Denon... :D

1991 first real separates.

LP12, K9, Akito arm, Cyrus 1 amp, Rogers LS4a speakers, VDH CS122 cable.  Actually really very good and if I knew now etc could have saved a fortune.

Cyrus replaced with Audio Innovations 500 in weeks and the slide started....................................

Years later have an Audio Innovations 500, and CS122 cable other bits changed often.

Mine has had a lot of "messing about/improvements"  it runs 5881's, phono and tape loop removed, wiring replaced, balance removed,

it played up a bit after all the surgery but touch wood seems fine presently.  Drives my RFC Impulse H6 really well.
