[FS] Audio Note Io1 + AN-S2L (step up)

Recommended Posts

Purchased last year from BD Audio, the cart was Jack's own and the SUT was new. The cart probably has around 200-300 hours on it now as I upgraded fairly quickly to the gold as I like the Io1 so much.

Io1 - £1100 (inc RM special delivery but insurance is £500 max)
ANS2L - £300 inc RMSD

If you buy them both I'll do it for ***SOLD***

Unfortunately true. Equally unfortunately, I cannot resist opening my bank statements and the damned house cannot resist constantly needing things done...

They are an excellent pair (yes I use them) and that price, especially for both, is very keen.

This is a great deal. Anyone looking to get into top class MC sound at a reasonable price should look no further! GLWS

PS. You are selling very tasty gear at the moment!

Just checking the coffers but I'm interested in both cartridge and the sut. Can you accept PayPal ?

Please note, is very important the gain, low or high?

I think the clue is in the title Fernando. And also the fact that it is paired with the IO, I guess it is safe to assume it is the L (high gain) version SUT

You’d have to be nuts not to IMO.
The Slagle transformer in the classifieds will be a worthwhile and cost effective upgrade over the S2 too.

Audio Note have 4 different MC Cartridges with different output voltages with different gains too.

I’m not quite sure and I’m not electronic expert Chivas , but L means low gain, usually this designation is used in many other cartridges manufacturers

Audio Note describe their SUTs by imedance match, rather than ratio. The L means low impedance (of the cartridge).

The 'L' is switchable and designed for cartridges with an internal impedance of either 3 ohms (Io range) or 12 ohms. The one here is indicated as 'L', so intended for the Io. The alternative 'H' version is switchable between 4-5 ohms and 15-20 ohms.

I know, it can be quite confusing, but I think Rabski explained it well
