Yes it’s a long time ago, but what was your first vinyl purchase.

For me it was school’s out by Alice Cooper, still have it somewhere.

From there on in, it was a weekly visit to the shop, pay packet in hand to buy your vinyl !

Depending on age it could of course be vinyl, cd, cassette or reel to reel😁

Surely the first time was the best time🙈

I bought 2 records at the same time, Son of my Father by Chickory Tip and a used or is that pre loved Somethin' Else by Eddie Cochrane.

I was 12 or 13.

They used to be called records LPs and 45s when I first bought one.

Vinyl was something that went on the floor.

First single IIRC Give Peace a chance - Plastic Ono Band 1969. (Subsequently warped by mother who switched on night storage heater 9_9. She meant well :hug:)

First Album 20/20 - The Beach Boys Still have it in mint condition.  (Bought from Binns Sunderland Music Department. I used to work in the next department DIY. No surprise where most of my wages went)

Albatross - Fleetwood Mac , followed by many more singles for 2 years until I could afford an LP and it was The Beatles - Let It Be .

For me the first single I owned was Telstar by The Tornados, and my first LP was Abbey Road by some band whose name I can't quite recollect.
