Some of these bluetooth speakers do sound really good actually. They maybe not as good as big separates but again it's convenience and it actually lets you enjoy your music, lots are super portable as well and you can plonk them wherever you're  seated rather than being tied to any particular areas or rooms. I don't see them as a move from traditional hifi but more like a supplement.
