Not listening too loud is great advice....

But it really is very fun!

Especially hard if you’ve had a couple of jars of your fav tipple 😀

i always find the volume creeps up and up...

Wind up the wick on those bass drivers and you'll definitely need a nurse :D

It went by the name of Arjun or something like that. The label fell off a while ago so all I have is the white plastic "bottle". I'll ask when I next see the guy.

Who, out of interest, measures the listening level they typically use?

I perversely like to listen as quietly as possible whilst still retaining the body, texture and detail of the recording and instruments. It's almost a challenge for me with an audio system. Hey - it's good to be different ;)

Possibly Argan oil then?  Though I’ve heard of it mainly in beauty products, I believe it may be like olive oil.

Not me.

I’ll eventually be an old very deaf man, but will have a massive grin on face - I go very regularly to gigs, stood next to tower racks of speakers and chest warbling bass.

Plus at home if I’ve had a bevy or two I like it louder than I probably should.

Hell you only live once. 😀😀😀

I find carefully applying green marker to each lobe improves musicality considerably.

Occasionally my sleep is disturbed by a slug chomping one of the Mrs pot plants in the bedroom.

Can't hear past 14k, but I think I notice effects of things higher.

Hell aye, the gift that keeps giving -  like the tinnitus from the brilliant Kiss gig back in '84 which I can still hear:P

I had my lug holes tested this morning and managed 17 KHz (only just), not bad at all for an early 50's freak of nature..

In all seriousness - be careful about stuffing anything in your ears (except your fingers when listening to certain kit) ..  this link provides the advice https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/how-to-clean-your-ear#1
