Supposed to take delivery of amps today, but UPS have struck again!  Waited in all day, the E470 was collected, but no sign of the replacements and they can't do anything about it until tomorrow... is it my imagination, but are most Companies these days totally incompetent?

Mac

Could be an audiophile delivery man, just enjoying your amps for a night. They will be there tomorrow :D

Which is why it's able to pump 500W into 1 Ohm!!

It's more modest into 8 Ohms...but shows the quality of the Power Supply.

I'm more impressed by its 90W@8 Ohm, 180W@4 Ohm and 360W@2 Ohm lineair performance, according to the specs on this site.

The price tag is impressive as well. 😁

now, after a few days with the new amps and a bit of tweeking and experimenting with the volume and gain controls, I believe I'm getting the most from them... sounding superb!

and yes they are expensive if bought from new, but thankfully I didn't have to.

That's very good to hear. IME. Amps can take a while to settle....especially if they have been off for a while.

It wouldn't surprise me if things continue to improve a bit....and then they will truly show their class and pedigree.

I'm glad you're happy, and TBH, I'd also be happy for you if you had bought them new. Envy is sooooo overrated.

Now you just need a couple more of those and get rid of your passive crossovers. Your electricity company will be grateful. :D
