msb technologies dream system...

Recommended Posts

here is a short video from the munich hi end show 2019 featuring the top of the range msb technologies system plus the magico m6 loudspeakers.

i believe the speakers alone cost £200.000 !

i wonder how liminal space by xanopticon would sound through this...

Fab, msb make superb gear

hi hifinutt

i believe the dac box alone (sitting on top of the equipment rack) retails at £75,000 alone !

I went to the premiere of the magico a3 in london , lovely sounding system especially as they are very good vfm

upstairs they had a more expensive magico speaker   in a system that i personally did not like the sound of at all . I have heard a number of msb amps but not with magico . My personal msb amp trounced everything i had before and has an exceptional sound . so i am rather biased !!

obviously on this occassion it did not impress !!

Magico’s measure well for passive loudspeakers and one would hope the MSB components are low distortion/ transparent designs.

That leaves the speaker’s interaction with the room and personal taste of course.

hi keith

these magicos are £200.000 a pair - are there any active speakers for that price that would beat them ?

(i'm guessing the ones used in the worlds best recording studios would be the answer ?)

Once you have a decent pair of loudspeakers then the major contributor to SQ is the speakers interaction with the room, passive loudspeakers don’t really allow for much in the way of adjustment.

Why do they need to be as expensive? Don't assume more expensive = better. This goes for the £75k DAC too.
