That's a lovely looking but precariously placed tower you have there batty :)

Would you mind giving a run down on the components in the chain. The wxc-50 is the only one that I can make out at moment :)

The 2 TTs just visible are LP12 on the left and Rock mkII on the right.

Under the Yammie is a case with a pair of 10:1 SUTs and a boozehound labs FET pre pre (so 2 step up devices in 1 box)

Next is a DIY Akitika MM phono stage.

Under that is the WHAMMY headphone amp from DIY Audio.

Sitting on the shelf is a B1 ;mesmerize; pre amp also from DIY Audio.

Last DIY unit is a Pass Labs First Watt M2X class A stereo power amp again from DIY Audio.

Other bits are The Battery DAC from Paris, Vincent PHO-8 phono pre, sb Touch and the phones are AKG Q701.

Disk spinner is a Pioneer DV676A DVD player, I do have a CAL-15 CDP to fit in there somehow.

Beautiful plinth!! Some questions if I may. I have a very heavy custom Lenco. What wall rack do you use? What screws and rawl plugs did you use? Was it a brick or plaster wall? Thanks

Hi Dom, thanks. The TT shelf is just a normal Target jobbie, the walls are of non standard construction, ie a wooden frame within plywood sheets, so I had to remove the sheets & put extra framework in where I knew the shelf was going to be. I have used tube struts as a "belt 'n braces" back up under the shelf in case of internal failure, not strictly necessary but makes me feel better!

New arm. I think there's a problem with it though, the 0's and 1's keep falling out :D

Is that the barrel from a WWII Browning machine-gun?

Finally managed to get the plinth I wanted for my 401, totally worth the wait though. Also another new toy on the rack too!

After setting up a system (or 2!) in the loft, and having spare power amps, I have decided to resurrect my active crossover.  The speakers, with Shackman electrostatic top end and HB3 bass, would seem to be ideal for this.  With 24dB/octave slopes and variable frequencies, levels and baffle step compensation,, it will give me something to play with.  I made the crossover in about 1983, with updates since, so it will be interesting to hear how it goes.

I'm afraid you may have been had. Your Denson appears to be a knock-off labelled Denon by mistake :D.

I was duped into buying a Densen pre-amp myself, so it happens to the best of us!

(I like the neat/simple styling of your Denon there.)

Whoops... I'll be off to Spocksavers in the morning :)... in my defence (of sorts) Robin and I were chatting about my long gone kit and that included a DM20, so that's where it must have come from ;)

What's the "ladder" rack? Never seen one like that before.

Its a Something Solid EXR from Deco Audio, with my own cheapskate Plywood Shelves.
