The last subs I owned not to long ago where dual svs sb 2000s (sealed) these worked very well with music good value as well. Svs also make high end sealed subs with eq included.

Many thanks chaps, it’s good to finally have the TT back up and running again for my vinyl, just need to get my enthusiasm back for using the Okki Nokki to clean the critters :D

You need a Velvet Vortex for cleaning up your records. It will help make that SP10 really sing. 😉

where did you get the record weight? I like the look of it.

I bought it from eBay back in early 2018 Julian, for around £340 plus delivered from Europe...  its exactly the same as the one linked below:

Its definitely on my wants list Tim... when we spoke at Tonbridge earlier this year, I was still in the process of getting the SP10 back up and running. Now that's finally happened, I can now start looking at one of your cleaners, once my wallet as recovered from starvation :)

The record weight was also sourced via eBay from the seller linked below,  albeit, he doesn't have anything listed at present...

Just bought my last tube amp for the tweeters. All set for triamping now :D

Rethm gaanam integrated amp with HT bypass. 16W per channel SET amp. Uses some Russian  6C33C tubes and 6922 preamp tubes. Has an outboard separate power supply as can be seen in the pics.

Thanks for looking :)

Thanks :)

I have this fetish for wrapping everything in chrome vinyl.. So that should sort out the looks. Though I will be only wrapping the front panel and not everything. I could also go a bit overboard and give it chrome + gold combination wrap :D

Valve amps are so much more interesting to look at than solid state amps!

(I'm still not buying one though.)

Hi MartinC..

Could you please be kind enough to elaborate a bit.

Iam sceptical myself, and bought the TAD1000 tube mono blocks, as well as the above Rethm's with a lot of trepidation.  If I don't get the sound i want, it's more likely that I will sell the amps before the speakers :D

The idea of tubes wearing out during every listen will be a constant worry. As also the fear that maybe there is better sound to be had with a tube swap.

What's yours :)

I agree with the first bit.

I also sort of agree with the second bit. But that's because I already have (far) too many.

Hi rabski....

Can you please post some pics of your amps.

A little hifi porn would be highly appreciated by a lonely sailor like me :)
