I put a post up about 5 days ago asking about what food would be available at the hotel.

Silence so far.  It would be good to know what's going to be available, now we know what's not being allowed.

There's a decent chippy in the village.

It's a hotel, when is it not going to have food or snacks?

Otherwise have a very large & good breakfast, take a nice braeburn apple and purchase a slice of cake from the bar and wait until the evening...

Unless they've improved on last year's bar menu, it's a tenner for shite & chips or boil in the bag curry/chilli.

The bar menu has some nice sub roll or wraps @ £4.95 or for the same price Jacket Potatoes with extra fillings a pound extra. Toasties come in a pound cheaper.

Doesn't seem too bad...

FFS in the war people escaped from Colditz...

If it makes you happier, I'll give you my phone number & I'll be a runner, ferrying toasties to all the starving!

Or buy a packet of crisps on the way in!

Last year I bought a sandwich, some bottled water, from the local  Co-Op, oh and a chocolate bar, to eat while manning my room all day.

Maybe what the hotel could do is send a trolley with hot/cold drinks and packed sandwiches around the rooms on Sunday round lunchtime and announce this in advance, maybe even Sat preprder, so people know and can plan on that.

exhibitors get a bite in room, hotel gets business. Win win.

packed lunch to room is what’s needed on the day I reckon

Were you a boy scout once, or perhaps a fan of Blue Peter? Always prepared...

And the bottle comes in useful later as there is no escape apparently, aaaahhhh, that's better!

Of course, hotel's never have room service and meals delivered to the rooms, that would be ridiculous...
