Which Quad amp for Tannoy Turnberry SE ?

I am actually also considering Naim Supernait 2. But it is my last choice after the quads.

What about Marantz PM11? I used to have S1 version with Tannoy Stirlings and thought that was an enjoyable combination. Smooth, but with a grunt.

Isn't this the kind of application that Accuphase are built for? (Would look great together too.)

Failing that, one of the large Yamaha integrateds (with wood side panels and meters) ;-)

I had Yamaha A-S3000 in my system with Kensington GRs for some time, but tbh didn't think it was the best pairing. Large meters looked nice though.

I have heard many Accuphase amps. I dont like their signature. They sound muddy and a bit slow.

Seems to me that the OP is really limiting what can be achieved by the Tannoys

Why do you think so ? Which amps do you suggest ?

As mentioned earlier, a good Class A amplifier If you prefer a warmer sound (pun not intended) or 100w plus A/B

I have heard one Accuphase (E450) and it sounded like the voice of g@d ! (Big set of Spendor SP100s.)

It reminded me of a big car that can pull away, powerfully, in any gear on any gradient without breaking sweat.

I’d go there in a jiffy (Accuphase and Spendor reference) if the lottery jackpot came up for me.
