OI was in the canteen in work and my wife texted me the news, all I could think was “I can’t cry here “  . I have a few times since then listening to various favourite songs.

Weird, I was in Liverpool on Sunday for a lunch where they play vinyl, 1st album was Marvyn Gaye and 2nd on was "Solid Air" and the 25yo son of the couple we were with recognized it instantly. He's like Nick Drake an artist that transcended age boundaries.

Super Wammer

Here you go, a very enjoyable documentary that gives you a good idea of the character that was John Martyn.

I can't believe it's 10 years already since the big man passed away.

I lost count of how many times I saw John play live on his own with band a trio or as  a two piece many years ago.

I do remember what a brilliant artist he was and how much fun he was to see and hang out with.

I still miss him big time but have all his music and still play his albums regularly on vinyl and CD.

Ive just pulled this wonderful box set from the rack for a play.
