Steaming help / advice required

Hi All,

I am wanting to start streaming, listening to Spotify, internet radio, I Tunes etc. I am looking for a unit that I can attach and play through my intergrated amp and speakers.

I have had a quick look around but I am confused with all of this.

I am looking to spend £400 - £600 on this.

Would you be able to suggest a model for me please?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Jonathan

Either a Bluesound Node-2 or a Auralic  Aries Mini  seem to be the flavour of the month in this parish....

Mac, Windows or LInux.?

How do you want to control the streaming.?

Have you, do you wish to, subscribe to any streaming services.?

Do you want to connect directly to the amp or via another device?

Do you want a bespoke solution or a diy (if latter, any competence with following directions and copy/paste)?

What expectation do you have of the sound quality?

Are you prepared to try stuff out first (to get an idea of how things works/sound)?

Some of these questions you appear to have answered with your initial post, but it never hurts to expand....

The Bluesound Node 2i fits your use case perfectly Jonathan. It is a mature product with pretty much all of the wrinkles ironed out. It uses the BluOs system adopted by NAD amongst others so it should work pretty well and isn’t going to disappear or have support dropped. It is readily available and they are responsive to any issues you may have.
