I like both versions but this one is done better then the original version I feel it’s more powerful singing the track taken from Simon & the Garfunkel album the sound of silence done by a band called disturbed  .

I like this rendition of John and Mary from the car commercial featuring Bryan Ferry and arranged by Norwegian dance guru Todd Terje (pronounced ‘ter yer). Arpegiated synths are great, a nice slow burner that takes you on a trip. 

The Robert Palmer original one is very 80s disco and not so much to my tastes.

Sounds like he is trying for the X factor but looking at the video it looks like the same chap playing all of the instruments and the song was done in stages
