best subs to use possible

Recommended Posts

I am after buying 2 subs to use with the following

hi

i have got the dali ikon 6 mk2 speakers for fronts
dali vokal centre
dali zensor 7 as rears
dali zensor 1 as additional rears
and 4 dali alteco c1 atmos modules
a denon 4300 amp
a crown xls 1002 power amp
blue jeans speaker cable

and using a mini dsp 2x4

and 2 bic America pl 200 ii subwoofers

I want sub that go extremely low in frequency

For all out blockbuster action movies and horror and thrillers

And I want them to be very musical sounding as well 70 /action movies/30/music

And I want floor shaking wall rattling bone jarring

That you can relly feel in your chest

Makes you jump out your seat fast tight bass

That goes in the 17hz range

I don’t want to use dali subs

I want another brand of sub

I would prefer hsu subs if you could could recommend a very good model of hsu sub

Or any other brand and make and specific model

I want the very best possible partner to work with the equipment I have above

I don’t want to pay more than £500 for each sub

Thanks can you please reply asap thanks marcus

For that price range and requirement for low frequency, try this:

I think you'd be better off looking secondhand. Although £500 is a decent amount of money to spend per sub, it's not really going to take you out of the budget range in real terms.

The thread title and this don't exactly go hand in hand - I was initially thinking of some £10k+ monsters!

For your budget the Monolith mentioned above is probably the most obvious candidate, but bear in mind it is BIG, particularly if by the sounds of it you want 2? I think you ought to give some consideration to having one better sub rather than two cheaper ones.

Two of the following isn't much over your intended budget FWIW, and I've read some good comments about the elsewhere:

Super Wammer

Best 'subs' are wot you have left over from past suitably chosen-installed/maintained, with great 1 or 79000 channel stuff.

I'd probably disagree if I could make sense of that!

I think I can make sense of that but I do agree with Chumpy, as I often seem to.

I think he is saying that second hand (good condition) subs are best, (presumably best value for money).  I took the 1 or 79000 channel remark to mean it doesn't matter whether it's a multi-channel (AV) sub or one of these mythical mono-subs that I don't keep hearing about.
