Rca or BNC turntable to amp

Recommended Posts

Hi just purchased Rega P3 they have RCA plug.I have a naim nac 62 it has BNC.

Ok to the problem can I cut the RCA plugs of the Rega and put on BNC without doing any damage to sound quality or signal balance or the turntable

Or should I just suck it up and use a RCA to BNC adapter.

Thanks for the advice

If both items are permanent, I would change the RCA for a BNC. If either unit is likely to change any time soon, use an adapter. Adapters are used very commonly on test equipment with no ill effects, so won't affect sound quality in any way.

Use an adaptor. Rega decks are earthed via their phono connections so just use BNC to RCA adaptors.
