Nice slab of Detroit influenced 'British' Techno out of Scotland but whizzkid (he knows his onions) has already selected it - see post No 34.

I shall give up gracefully then. Great tunes all round 👍

No, don't do that. Just add British ones which you feel are worthy and have not as yet been listed. That Mills track you selected was an absolute blinder! It's just a shame he's from Detroit and not the UK.

Cool... 1 final one then:

Definitely British, and 90s, and pretty sure I can't find it on the thread, and - for me at least - another defining tune that hugely stood out, in a time where microscopic sub-genres were not quite troubling most people and full on 303 madness and heavily filtered driving trance could happily coexist to devastating effect...

Enjoy 😀

Superb track! One of my favorites of all time but it was a B side of the 'Promised You A Miracle' 12" which came out in 1982. It was a massive track apparently in the clubs of Ibiza in the 1980's (before the scene there got big and commercial). Produced by Steve Hillage.

Here is my acid house picklist for you, before we get into the progressive house stuff of the 90s. From around 1989 to 1991 I think. Admittedly some is American, sorry, but you can't discuss the British acid house scene without some of the American influences like frankie knuckles etc.

Based on what I used to here in Essex at the time as a young raver seeing the prodigy at Braintree barn ( 'mangled' crew, mr c, etc) and tootoos, frating and oscars, clacton pier.

1) index, give me a sign - Classic acid house sound...

2) frankie knuckles, your love

3) n joi, anthem

4) shades of rhythm, homicide

5) 4 hero, mr Kirks nightmare

6) the prodigy, everybody in the place

7) the scientist - the exorcist

8) Jose cheena, my left nut my right nut

9) moby - go

10) lfo - lfo

But just a few favs in the acid house genre.
