I have a Rotel RX1603, its a real beast and has a power and clarity to its sound that's really tremendous. There are a couple on the bay at the moment. Doubt there is a bigger receiver out there....

just to be clear - my 1603 isn't for sale, but just wanted to recommend it - there's always one on the bay....

Yamaha CR-1000, just had all of the Darlington config output devices replaced?

My office system hub, but am wondering if it could be cost effectively replaced with a Tivoli, so little time do I have to listen to it.

Utterly sublime FM tuner section - in fact better than the Meridian 500 I have in my main system - and a surprisingly nice phono stage too. Web talk about the CR-1000 being *bright* is balls. A fit one is not. Just sounds like the 70's quality item it is. Japanese moderate high-end before the accountants got to the company.

Sliders, flip switches and analogue meters to die for. They all work.
