2017 Scalford classic system from the past fantasy room

Would love to hear master tape playback as here...well, it's fantasy, right?

Love it. Utter madness commercially, but I'm glad those rooms exist. Pity few record companies these days want to pay the rates these rooms have to charge.

Is that Zsa Zsa Gabors gaff? Just done some reading, how you can produce such modernist turntables and have taste like that in decor troubles me.

Almost mine - LP12, Ekos, ATOC9 MLII, Naim 72/HiCap/140

Only the speakers spoil the show. B&W CM2s, originally bought for bookshelves in our previous gaff. Now need stands but Mrs TLM won't allow.

The core of the system was bought in 92. Either a case of "if you wait long enough, it will come back into fashion" or "wow, vintage, was that your Grandad's?" or "great quality lasts forever". Of course I subscribe to the latter ;-)

It's sort of 18th century opera house. Channeling the spirit of Mozart perhaps.

Wouldn't be my taste, but do like the loudspeakers behind the curtain.

Me too. I never went there but remember the photo well. I suppose it is a bit 'Entführung aus dem Serail' but I always thought the servant statues were straight out of the Avengers. It was a legendary system - is it still there?

The way things are going you'll need to find a wormhole to another dimension to find a Wigwam show in 2017.:nerves:

There will be a wigwam show at Scalford in 2017. That is guaranteed.

But you change your mind on stuff every other hour. ;)

I'd love to hear that too.

If only to see what all the fuss the magazines made was about.

In reality it sounded pretty mediocre IMO.
