  1. Thanks Haggis, Loud and Clear is where I bought it. They will be my first port of call when they open on tuesday morning. But I'm not sure if they do in house repairs? I guess I'll just have to wait and see really. My daughter could smash a toy off the oled tv and it wouldnt bother me in the slightest, I could total my car tomorrow and it wouldn't matter. But the amp has a lot of value to me. Be a real shame if its dead
  2. Thanks Nopiano, Switched it all off, disconnected then reconnected everything then switched back on but still not sound from left channel. I'm praying its something simple and cheap to fix..
  3. Pains me to say it but theres now no sound coming from the left channel on my Moon i-5 I had unplugged my speakers to test an unused set before selling them. Went to play music today and there was no sound. I realised I'd forgot to plug the speakers back in. Plugged them back in but theres now no sound from the left channel. I'm wondering if the act of switching on the amp with no speakers attached to the cables has damaged the amp in someway? Cables were lying on the carpet. not sure if they were touching at the contacts or not. Is this likely repairable? First time I've ever had a problem like this. No idea if its an easy fix or now an expensive paper weight. I'm absolutely gutted. Love the amp more than my wife. I'm in Glasgow. Who's best bet to take it in for assessment?

  5. and to think theres some folk who claim that FLAC rips dont sound as good as the physical CD...
  6. Hi there. Are you based in Scotland? Glasgow or Edinburgh perchance?
  7. Hows it going Young Team Fleeto? Can anyone tell me what size the threads are on the spiked feet that some of the amps have. Like the older i-5 integrated and the p5 pre amps? I have the i-5 but never had the spikes. I'd guess its an m6 thread but can anyone confirm? Cheers
  8. Wow, that looks like something pretty special. Once packaged and insured for courier I suspect the buyer would actually pay less for a return flight to barcelona! Good luck with the sale!
  9. Another recomendation for the MF V90 dac here.

    SALE Krell

Surely you can just tell us who the item belonged to?!
  11. I bought a printer about 5 years ago. Cheap banger that cost about £40 in Curries. Think its a Canon or something, I honestly cant remember. It came with a usb cable that I now use to connect my Mac Mini to my DAC. The cable must have a cash value of less than twenty pence. Sounds absolutely perfect.
  12. I have a Moon I-5 (note not the inferior i5:P) integrated amp that I run with MA GX300 speakers and its phenomenal to my ears! Certainly worth getting a demo if you can.
  13. I don't remember the very first time I heard an album called dark side of the moon. But I do remember the very first time I listened to it while stoned out my box. For a long time rolling joints and listening to music went hand in hand. Ritualistic it was. But its been a number of years now since I've had the joy of a bifter and an album together. Slowly things like becoming more grown up, marriage, career and having children all ensured the end of those good old days. I take comfort knowing that, say in maybe 17 years or so, the offspring will be kicked out and I'll have the place to my self again and I'll skin up and stick on dark side of the moon again.
  14. This thread has really put my mind at rest. Always wondered this my self.
  15. I've put all my kit in a massive lead box sat on top on slabs of granite. So isolated I cant even hear it anymore..... Turntable and cd players, yes. Anything else, no.
  16. Rega Brio-r could be had second hand for £300-£400. A great amp.
  17. Ive got a 55VT50. Nothing quite like a good quality blu ray with the lights out. Its going to be a long time before theres anything that can match the image quality of the last gen panny plasma's. OLED will hopefully mature over the years but currently it still suffers the same poor motion resolution as LCD.
