  1. hi, what about a Subaru, forester or legacy, 2.0L, 2.5L or single turbo on forester, twin turbo on legacy. i have had a Legacy 4 1/2 years, bought with 133000 miles. totally reliable, never failed mot. awd for winter-point and laugh at rwd'ers in the snow. shit mpg but like myself do low mileage it doesn't really matter. mines is 2000MY.

    help with small problem

hi, i need a small favour with someone with either a lathe or precision drilling machine. i need to drill a 1.9mm hole 10mm deep into a 3mm diamater brass round bar. the lathe in my work has a small wobble so is useless. the bar is for a motor spindle for my clearaudio tt belt pulley. i have the drill bits (x2) and the brass rod. just need the hole done. its a few minutes at most. engineering places are not interested. will pay all postage etc and will pay if needed. help..

    need some help.

Hi there, i didn't know what section to post this so seeing as i would be dabbling its in here. Now the problem. I purchased a Clearaudio performance on " that" auction site about 2 months ago. everything went well until i unpacked it. oh dear, the motor spindle that drives the belt pulley is trashed. After a few weeks the sender tracked this down... http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=cs&u=http://eshop.servicemix.cz/product.php%3Fid_product%3D17654&ei=69HETqfJE9G4hAe-_a3yDQ&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CB8Q7gEwADgo&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsmr%2B300-100%2Bmotor%26start%3D40%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1323%26bih%3D792%26prmd%3Dimvns it is the exact model i need. however the sender has stopped communicating after saying they ordered one. seeing as its only £23 i thought i would order one myself 648.00 CZK = 22.92 GBPExchange rate: 0.035368 Rate valid as of: 21/1/2012 The company mailed me back to say they dont ship to the UK. what i need is someone who maybe has a trade contact in Europe to maybe help out. The official Clearaudio dealer here were quoting possibly hundreds of pounds for a motor that is very cheap. they said it has to go back to the factory? i spoke to them personally and it was so frustrating. teeth sucking etc... FS its a motor . can anyone help? Regards, davie

Trans Fi Terminator t3 Pro Tonearm

Hi, I bought a new T2 18 months ago and was excited. very fiddly to set up and it needs at least a 2 bolt fixing. it was on my Xerxes and it sounded very smooth and easy going. the mid and treble were good but i am afraid it had no bass drive. it was there but kick drums etc were lacking. i changed back to a modded rega Rb250 which restored the "weight" of the music. it didn't do anything wrong but for me it didn't work. A good thing though is you have a 30 day money back guarantee. worth a try but if you have trouble setting up a pivoted arm it could be hair pulling out time.

    Formula 1 2010

hamilton might struggle to finish the race @ full pace as they are short filling the tanks to outqualify red bull. will be interesting to see how it pans out if he gets overtaken in the race and has to settle maybe for a lower place.
  10. i bought a Veho microscope which was £20 direct from the factory on ebay. its usb so plugs straight in. it is fiddly to hold but with patience it can be done on your arm.this is my knackered 1012gx stylus http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Veho-x400-USB-microscope-/220609018756?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Lab_Equipment_ET&hash=item335d527b84 Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    £40 for a Roksan slipmat

A Roksan Rmat 5 doesnt fit any other turntable as the spindle hole is about 3mm instead of 7mm. :dunno:so i doubt its a Roksan. a new Rega mat is £13

bridged mono setup on my rotel

good point S..:dunno:in which case the manufacturer should lower the specs?. if the speakers say 8 ohms. thats good enough for me. i think as long as your not trying to blow the roof off there should not be a problem? there are fewer cables in my system due to the monbloks. i suppose a phone call to Rotel or the speaker manufacturers would allay any fears:^

bridged mono setup on my rotel

i have rc06 in bridged mono. the speaker impedance must match that of the amp if your going this route or else the amp will be damaged. your speakers are 8 ohms. in theory the amps will be fine. bridged mono does sound better. the only thing is the output of each power amp is through 1 channel only. you need to read the manual carefully.
